A great effort from the boys saw them unluckily go down 3-1. The colts started like a steam train and after Lewis and Josh B both went close Roman Rangers scored against the run of play. In possibly the Colts only dodgy spell in the game, the opposition scored again and the boys found themselves 2 down. To be fair the boys continued to play their football and in the two Josh's V and B were still creating chances. The 2nd half started the same and even nearly narrowed the deficit straight away. Ben A and Harry were bossing the midfield and on the rare times Roman Rangers did break they found James, Jake and Jack in impressive form as they were winning virtually every tackle and setting up attacks from the back. Will and Ashley came on as the boys tried to get back into the game, and both were getting involved immediately. As the boys pushed forward more and more the visitors were breaking with more menance and after some good saves from Peter, he was eventually beaten again.The lads made another attempt to get back into it and when Evan fed Jack on the halfway line he galloped forward and smashed the ball into the net. Another similar raid late on led to a penalty, but unfortunately the spot kick was blasted over. A great performance from all 12 lads and on another day the Colts would have won this game by a couple of goals, but thats football.
