Played youth football for Mendip Wanderers, Duston Albion and Duston Dynamo all in Northampton, before forming Longboat FC, in 1979. as secretary they won Div 4 Div 3 and then premier Division of the Northants Sunday League in successive seasons.
I was appointed the Northants Sunday League Publicity Officer, and compiled the match reports column in the Chronicle & Echo Pink'un sports paper as well as columns in the Mercury & Herald and Chronicle on a Monday & Friday. (No Citizens in them days)
Then had a break from football when I moved from Northampton to Old Stratford before joining the Colts, as a volunteer helping out with the then Under 8's in 1999. Then managed that side through to Under 12's before becoming Chairman in 2005

Wayne Rooney & Emile Heskey
Peter Crouch & Wayne Rooney
Jermaine Defoe & Wayne Rooney
